If you live in the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area or within a 20 mile radius of Pittsburgh, you can schedule a purse party with us in your home. If you are out of our service area, you are welcome to hold an Internet Purse Party instead.
Internet Parties:
Internet parties are a great alternative if you are out of our Purse Party service area. Internet parties are similar to catalog parties, but without the catalog. Because our inventory constantly changes, we cannot provide catalogs. However, an Internet party can be just as much fun, and often even more profitable for our hostesses because the time period for their guests to purchase is extended to two weeks, which allows our hostesses more time to earn more merchandise credits!
The way Internet parties work is that the hostess schedules a date when she wants her "party" to start. She invites her guests to view our website and make their purchases within a two week period of her party start date. The hostess gives each guest her hostess code to enter when purchasing so that she receives her merchandise credits for their purchases within the allotted time period.
Many Internet party hostesses still want the party atmosphere, so they hold their purse party anyway, and have all of their guests view the website and purchase while at the party. This actually works very well because many sales are made that day, and those who do not purchase at the party still have the option to purchase later.
Home Parties:
If you choose to have your party at your home, we will bring a selection of handbags and accessories to your home on your scheduled party date. If you choose, you can review our merchandise from the website beforehand to decide which type of merchandise you would like us to bring. We conduct our home parties within a 2 1/2 hr time period; it is up to the hostess whether she would like to have the traditional "party" atmosphere or whether she would like to hold her party as an Open House where here guests can come and go as they please during the 2 1/2 hr time period. Hostesses holding their party at home are responsible for any food and/or beverages for their party. If you plan to have a large party, or you feel your home isn't large enough for a party, you can always rent a venue for your party instead.
How can I hold a Savvy Chic Bags Purse Party?
It's simple. Book your party, invite your guests, and sit back and relax at your party and watch the party sales earn you free Savvy Chic Bags merchandise!
Are there any special requirements to hold a Savvy Chic Bags Purse Party?
If you are having a Home Purse Party, you must have a minimum of 15 guests at your party, so we suggest you invite 40-50 guests to reach your minimum requirement, since there are often many no-shows. The more guests you have, the more sales at your party.
*Also, there is no cost to host a Savvy Chic Bags Purse Party; however, there is a $25 refundable booking deposit required when you book your Home party. The booking deposit helps to defray the costs incurred with last minute cancellations. The entire $25 deposit will be refunded to you when your party takes place as scheduled and according to party rules. The deposit will not be refunded if your party is cancelled within 48 hours of your scheduled party time.
There is no deposit required for Internet parties.
What about refreshments?
You are welcome to provide refreshments for your Home party, but please serve food items that are not messy so that our merchandise will not be damaged by spills and sticky fingers.
How will I earn merchandise credits?
At the conclusion of your party, we will add up the total amount of sales (less any applicable sales tax) to determine your merchandise credits. You will receive 10% of the total net sales up to $800 in sales, (example: $800 in sales = $80 in merchandise credits). Party net sales totaling $801 or more earn 12% of the sale amount in merchandise credits (example: $1,500 in sales = $180 in merchandise credits).
What can I purchase with my merchandise credits?
You can use your merchandise credits to purchase any item(s) that are included in the Hostess Merchandise Credits Selection (subject to availability). The Hostess Merchandise Credits Selection items include most handbags, jewelry, hats, scarves, etc., in our inventory.
